Casa Navàs once again brought the elegance and atmosphere of the early 20th century to life with a new edition of the 1900 Fashion Show. The event invited visitors to travel back in time through dresses, fabrics, accessories and details inspired by the Modernist movement.
The fashion show offered a unique opportunity to discover how people dressed during that period and to gain a deeper understanding of the tastes, customs and aesthetics of society in 1900.
A journey into the world of Modernist fashion
Fashion is a direct reflection of the historical period in which it is created. At the beginning of the 20th century, clothing stood out for its attention to detail, the quality of its fabrics and the elegance of its shapes.
During the 1900 Fashion Show, attendees were able to admire dresses and accessories inspired by this period, in perfect harmony with the architecture and decoration of Casa Navàs.
The building, an outstanding example of European Modernism, provided the ideal setting to recreate this atmosphere and make the experience even more immersive.
An event that brings us closer to Reus in 1900
The activity, organised in collaboration with Ana de la Cruz, also offered a first glimpse of the atmosphere surrounding the next edition of Reus 1900 · Modernist Festival.
This celebration transforms the city and invites both residents and visitors to rediscover the heritage, history and Modernist identity of Reus. Events such as this fashion show help keep alive the memory of a period that left a profound mark on the city.
Heritage, fashion and cultural outreach
Beyond its aesthetic appeal, the 1900 Fashion Show is also an educational and cultural event. Through clothing, visitors can gain insight into everyday life at the beginning of the 20th century and better understand the social and cultural context of Modernism.
