Casa Navàs celebrates the 2025 Reus Christmas Lights Switch-On
Reus officially welcomed the Christmas season on Thursday, 27 November, with the traditional Christmas Lights Switch-On organised by the Reus City Council. Plaça Mercadal once again filled with families, visitors and locals ready to enjoy one of the most anticipated events of the year. Casa Navàs, located in the heart of the square, was once more a privileged witness to this festive moment.
The evening began with great anticipation. People gradually filled the square as music and lighting effects signalled that something special was about to begin. As the sun set, colourful projections illuminated the space, creating the perfect atmosphere for the highlight of the event: the official activation of the Christmas lighting that transforms the city during the holiday season.
When the lights switched on, applause spread across the square. The façade of Casa Navàs, one of the most extraordinary Modernista buildings in the country, blended beautifully into the magical urban scenery, reaffirming its role as a cultural and architectural landmark of Reus. The building, visited by thousands every year, becomes an integral part of the city’s festive spirit.
