This morning, Casa Navàs hosted the presentation of the book Vermuts Miró and the History of Vermouth in Reus, a publication that traces 111 years of history, from 1914 to 2025, highlighting the strong connection between the city and one of its most iconic traditions.
The event, addressed to the media, introduced the book written by Isabel Martínez, which explores the evolution of vermouth in Reus through the history of Vermuts Miró. The publication offers a historical, cultural and social perspective, presenting vermouth as a key element of local identity and everyday life.
This book is the first volume of the Biblioteca Maser Grup d’història empresarial collection, an editorial project aimed at preserving and sharing the business history of companies deeply rooted in their territory. As such, the publication bridges business history, culture and heritage.
The presentation took place in a highly symbolic heritage setting. Casa Navàs, a landmark of Catalan Modernisme, provided a meaningful backdrop that reinforced the cultural and historical narrative of the book.
The project’s commitment to research and cultural dissemination was also highlighted. 100% of the profits from book sales will be allocated to research and to the promotion of vermouth in Catalonia and Spain, reinforcing the book’s cultural and social purpose.
The event concluded with a vermouth tasting. The book Vermuts Miró and the History of Vermouth in Reus is now available for purchase, and a public presentation will take place on February 10.
