Casa Navàs on Más Vale Tarde: Reus Modernism on National Television

Reportaje Casa Navàs La Sexta

Casa Navàs was recently featured on the Spanish television program Más Vale Tarde (La Sexta), which visited this iconic building to showcase one of the finest examples of Catalan modernism.

Being highlighted on a national TV program provides a valuable opportunity to project Reus’ architectural heritage to a wider audience and reinforce its cultural importance.

A tour inside Casa Navàs

During the filming, the TV crew explored some of the most remarkable spaces within the house. The monumental staircase, original stained-glass windows, handcrafted mosaics and intricate woodwork were among the elements that stood out.

Designed by architect Lluís Domènech i Montaner, Casa Navàs is one of the very few modernist buildings in Europe that preserves almost all of its original interior decoration. This makes it a unique example of modernism as a total work of art, where architecture and decorative arts merge seamlessly.

Modernism in Reus

Reus is deeply connected to the modernist movement. Casa Navàs plays a central role in this heritage and has become a must-see landmark for visitors interested in architecture and cultural history.

Its appearance on national television strengthens the city’s cultural profile and helps attract new audiences eager to discover authentic modernist architecture.

Promoting heritage through media

Media exposure plays an important role in heritage preservation. By bringing Casa Navàs to national television, the program contributes to raising awareness about the importance of protecting historic buildings.

Casa Navàs is not merely an architectural landmark; it is a living testimony of early 20th-century life, commerce and artistic expression.
