Some cities can be explored in just a few hours. Others make you want to stay a little longer. Reus is one of them. Its Modernist heritage, shopping streets, gastronomy and lively historic centre mean that a visit to Casa Navàs can easily become the starting point for a complete city break.
If you are planning to visit Reus, staying in the city centre is one of the easiest ways to experience it at your own pace. With many of the main attractions just a short walk away, there is no need to rely on a car: simply step outside and start exploring.
Casa Navàs, Modernism and much more
In Plaça del Mercadal stands Casa Navàs, designed by Lluís Domènech i Montaner and regarded as one of the outstanding examples of European Modernism. Stepping inside reveals a world of stained glass, mosaics, ceramics, woodwork and decorative arts that preserves the spirit in which the house was created at the beginning of the 20th century.
Yet your discovery of Reus does not have to end when the visit is over. The Gaudí Centre, the Prioral de Sant Pere and many of the city’s Modernist buildings are all nearby. Simply walking through the historic streets becomes an extension of the experience.
