Casa Navàs presents the II Cycle of Conferences «Casa Navàs, testimonis modernistes». These annual conferences aim to disseminate and reflect on heritage, Art Nouveau and society in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. These conferences will take place on the terrace of the Casa Navàs at 7.30 p.m. on the scheduled days.
- Wednesday, June 15th: “El Reus del 1900: societat, oci i cultura”, by the historian Joan Navais.
- Monday 20 June: “La marqueteria desapareguda dels sostres de la Casa Navàs”, by the ébénist-restorer Rafael Teixell.
- Wednesday 22 June: “Indumentària Modernista: burgesia i obrers”, by the dressmaker Anna de la Cruz and the vice-president of Bravium Teatre, Jaume Ciurana.
- Wednesday 6 July: “Del Modernisme al Noucentisme, de les boires del nord a la llum del Mediterrani”, by Joan Molet, PhD in History specializing in 19th-century architecture and town planning; Ariadna Fort, art historian.
Admission to the lectures is free, but seating is limited. Due to the great success of the first edition of the series, which sold out, it is important to reserve a place by sending an email to [email protected]. Club Casa Navàs’ members will have priority entrance.
