Casa Navàs closes 2022 achieving its best figures and making the facility face the Domènech i Montaner Year with excellent sensations. Nearly 44,000 people have visited this work of Domènech i Montaner in any of the types of visits offered. These figures represent a growth of 75.1% compared to a year ago, or 38.3% if compared to 2019, the best year recorded since Casa Navàs was opened to the public.
Casa Navàs closes the year making an unbeatable balance, the decrease in visitors caused by the health pandemic is now history, and the space exceeds the figures achieved in 2019. In total, there have been 43,879 people who have entered this Art Nouveau facility unique in Europe, figures much higher than those of 2021 when there were 25,000 people who visited the house.
Analysing the origin of the visitors, 64% come from Catalonia, 15% from the rest of Spain and 21% are international public. This last figure is the most significant; the city has recovered international tourism, which in the case of Casa Navàs has grown by 6,000 people compared to the last year. The French public continues to be by far the most present in this sector.
By territories, Barcelona and Tarragona repeat as the ones that have more interest in this work of Domènech i Montaner, whereas the presence of visitors from Lleida and Girona continues to be low. When asked why they visit Casa Navàs, in 19% of cases (most of them) it is because of someone’s recommendation. A 16% say it was a pending experience; 12% because they have been told at the Tourist Office of Reus, and 9% say they have discovered the place on the Internet.
The superior results achieved during 2022 make Casa Navàs start the celebration of the Domènech i Montaner Year with superb prospects. Soon, all the events that Casa Navàs will organise in 2023 to commemorate the centenary of the death of this brilliant Catalan architect will be presented.
