The President of the Generalitat, Quim Torra, visited Casa Navàs on Friday 25 January. Torra had scheduled an institutional visit in the city of Reus and expressly asked to see this emblem of European modernism. The president was received by those in charge of the house and, behind closed doors, attended the guided tour of one hour that is offered in the facilities.
Quim Torra, a very culturally sensitive person, was enthusiastic about the artistic beauty of Casa Navàs, in fact he assured that he will return. For the president, the most significant is the good state of conservation of the space despite being more than one hundred years old and thanked the family for preserving this legacy.
At the end of the visit, Torra signed the house’s book of honour. Thank you for preserving this dream’, was one of the reflections that has stated. The managers of this cultural reference gave the President of the Generalitat the book ‘Casa Navàs. Lluís Domènech i Montaner’ and the collection of poems ‘Vivint a Casa Navàs. 1982-1998’.
